1. PLASTIC RAIN



        
PLASTIC RAIN is my current artistic, design, and independent research exploration.

After over a decade of working with digital media and immersive technologies, I’ve decided to take a step back and reconnect with the fundamentals. I’m returning to manual, hands-on practices, focusing on clay sculpting and three-dimensional observation. This exploration centers on understanding the core principles of three-dimensionality, with a particular emphasis on body and figurative art.

In contrast to my previous work in the digital realm, especially in an age where AI workflows are rapidly reshaping creative processes, I’m immersing myself in more artisanal mediums. I’ve always had a deep fascination with sculptures, action figures, toys, and the Japanese sofubi tradition. Now, I’m delving deeper into these fields, working with materials like resin, silicone, and soft vinyl to create handmade toys and sculptures. Through this practice, I’m refining my skills in sculpting and material handling without relying on digital tools, rediscovering the tactile, human aspects of creation.
